Ils commencent et se terminent \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s \u00e0 la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode chaque ann\u00e9e. La forme la plus courante de d\u00e9pression saisonni\u00e8re commence \u00e0 l'automne et se poursuit tout au long de l'hiver. Les sympt\u00f4mes disparaissent \u00e0 l'arriv\u00e9e du printemps. Il existe \u00e9galement une version printemps\/\u00e9t\u00e9 de la d\u00e9pression saisonni\u00e8re qui est moins courante et dont les sympt\u00f4mes sont l\u00e9g\u00e8rement diff\u00e9rents.<\/p>\n\t<p><strong>La cause pr\u00e9sum\u00e9e de la d\u00e9pression saisonni\u00e8re est le raccourcissement des jours qui accompagne l'automne et l'hiver et ses r\u00e9percussions sur notre corps, notamment :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A decrease in sunlight disrupting the body&#8217;s internal clock (circadian rhythm)<\/li>\n<li>An increase in the body&#8217;s level of melatonin, a sleep related hormone the body produces when it&#8217;s dark<\/li>\n<li>A drop in serotonin levels, our body&#8217;s natural mood stabilizer which could also trigger depression<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t<p><strong>SAD is thought to effect 0.5-3% of the general population. It can also help you identify things that cause you stress and learn healthy ways to cope with and manage them.<\/p>\n\t<p><strong>Antid\u00e9presseurs<\/strong> &#8211; prescription medications that help restore the balance of brain chemicals that are associated with mood.
